All music starts with knowing the sequence of the keys.

This is the sequence.

[ C D E F G A B ] [ C D E F G A B ] ….. continue …

Look at the keyboard, and you will understand.

In keyboard of a piano, the keys are layout in sequence.

If you take into consideration of the black keys, then the sequence of all the keys actually looks like this:-

[ C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B ] [ C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B ] ……

(notice that there’s no # for E and B.

E directly goes to F,

B directly goes to C)

In guitar, this is how the strings being layout:-

What this means is,

- if u pluck the 6th string (Thickest string), without pressing anywhere, It will sound as an E.

- if u pluck the 5th string , without pressing anywhere, it will sound as an A.

So ….. by looking back at the sequence of the keys above,

[ C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B ]

If you press at the 1st fret of the 6th string, u should get an F

If you press at the 2nd fret of the 6th string, u should get an F#

I think You get the idea …. :)
