Plagiarism
Posted by lionel319 @ Sat 27 Feb, 10, 09:20AM under Misc

I don't know whether i truly understand the meaning of 'plagiarism'.

By reading the defination from wikipedia,  this is what I understand .....

the "use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work."

I was really hoping that I could find some citation or stuff like that from this so-called Pro-Invest site.

But after reading it from head, to tail, I could only conclude that, it matches exactly, for word to word, text to text, of this original post.

What I can only say is that, this guy really did a bad job.

At least, if he wanted to plagarise, do have the courtesy to read the entire content first, and for pete's sake, copy the entire post.

I bet he was getting it from here, which he didn't even care to follow to the original post by clicking at the bottom link, and copy the whole thing.

:)

Please Help Stop Brutal Torture Of Dogs
Posted by lionel319 @ Thu 11 Feb, 10, 02:22PM under Misc

It shouldn't be only applied on dogs.

All living creature in this world deserves to be respected.

But that is a topic for another day.

Today, I hereby plead anyone, everyone here, that happens to come across this post.

Do your part.

Show some empathy.

Help stop the killing and brutal torture of dogs from South Korea.

All it takes is just a simple signature on this petition, and it won't take more than 3 minutes.

I'm not good at words, and I know I hardly can move someone.

I'll leave it to the pictures and videos from the official website to do all the work.

Look at these pictures and videos, and then decided for yourself again, that what have these dogs done to deserve to be treated like this.

I hereby sincerely thank everyone who have signed the petition, and urge everyone to help spread this news to anyone you know.

Thank you.

From the official website of Stop Killing Dogs:-

The petition to stop the brutal torture of dogs and dog meat consumption in South Korea.

374 118 people have signed this petition. You?

Over 2 million dogs are brutally killed in South Korea every year.

That's over 5,000 dogs a day who get strangled, burned, electrocuted or beaten to death for their meat.

The South Korean government has accepted Animal Protection Laws which make animal torture illegal, but those laws have never been properly enforced in the country. The dog meat industry continues to thrive and the officials are reluctant and indifferent to ban it. Oh, sorry, except during the 1988 Seoul Olympics and 2002 FIFA Cup when dog meat restaurants were forced to shut down temporarily in fear of bad impressions of South Korea.

Although forbidden to advertise themselves on main streets or in English, over 6,000 restaurants today serve dog meat in South Korea. And they don't get closed down.

  • Animal torture should remain illegal in all forms and in all countries.
  • The government of South Korea has to ensure that Animal Protection Laws are followed in their country.
  • Dogs are people's companions and helpers, not livestock for meat.
  • Dog farms, raising dogs for food and killing them for meat should be made illegal.
  • Selling dog meat in restaurants has to be banned.

Turning Ideas Into Cash
Posted by lionel319 @ Sun 29 Nov, 09, 08:41AM under Misc

A lot of people have the misconception that, money is what makes a person rich. If you don't have money, you can't get rich.

People often have the thinking that, you need money to make more money. The rich gets richer because they have more money to roll.

I totally disagree.

What really makes money is actually the idea behind every successful person.

It is the idea that the person has, that he implemented it is a successful way, that makes them money...

Well, here's a very good example that provide a home shot to my point.

Take a look at this website, PennyAuction.

This website offers a place for people to bid for a product.

Naturally, the guy with the highest bid will win, and take back the product with the bidding price that they have to pay.

The interesting part is this ....

- For each bid that you bid for, you need to pay $1.50 to do so.

- Each bid will bring the product price up by 1 cent ,$0.01.

Well, if that still doesn't ring a bell, then let's take a look at the latest product that is on bid......

This is the latest product that is on bid.

- The retail price of this camera is $1499

- The current bid is only $14.10

And wow, every Dick, Tom and Harry that sees that, this camera, which is now selling at $14.10 bucks is definitely very very CHEAP.

Everyone will be bidding on top of each other, trying to get hold of this dirt cheap price.

But think about it, with each bid of increment of $0.01, the price is $1.50 per bid.

Imagine, how much transaction fee have the creator of this website collected, for the bid to go from $0.01 to $14.10???

Well, if you don't have the idea, let's go thru it together.

It's 1410 * $1.50 == $2115/=

Yes, you are absolutely right!!!

At first glance, it seems like those people that are selling the camera at $14.10 is making a loosing deal. But after serious thought about it, you get the point :)

So now, do you agree with me that, It's not money that makes more money?

It is the idea that the person has, that he implemented it in a successful way, that makes them money...

It is the knowledge that they possessed, that they know how to utilize it when the opportunity comes, that makes them money ....

It is the experience, the amount of time that they have gone thru this, that makes it a second nature to them, that makes them money ...

Free Hug Campaign?
Posted by lionel319 @ Sat 14 Nov, 09, 05:55PM under Misc

Somehow happen to come across this undated photos in my pc.

If my memory still serves me well, it should be sometime around March, where we were celebrating our birthday at Gurney Plaza.

Was having a cup of Afogado in Gelatissimo, when suddenly these 2 guys just pop out from no where.

They must be having some difficulties in finding enough target of people to hug, as they seems to be into a mission or something like that ........

Well, you guess it ............

hahahahahaha ....................

I went and give them a hand .............. and WOW !!! this guy is soaking in sweat ............ Yiaks :P

hahahahaha :D

This is the picture take after the Free Hug Campaign.

:)

*everyone was starring cock at us, like we were some kinda alien :p

A Definite Must Watch Movie For Me - Ninja Assassin
Posted by lionel319 @ Thu 12 Nov, 09, 11:51PM under Misc

Definitely, undoubtedly, unavoidable,a must watch movie for me.

Why?

Because, Rain is my Idol.

We are talking about Ninja Assassin here.

Plot:
“Raizo (Rain) is one of the world’s deadliest assassins, having been kidnapped as a child and raised by the Ozunu Clan, believed by the world to be a myth. When Raizo’s friend is executed by the clan, Raizo flees into hiding. He later reemerges, seeking revenge. Meanwhile, Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) is a Europol agent who investigates money linked to political murders and finds that it is linked to the Ozunu Clan. She defies her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), and retrieves secret agency files to find out more. The clan, finding out about the investigation, attempts to assassinate her, but she is rescued by Raizo. Hiding in Europe, Raizo and Mika must find a way to take down the Ozunu Clan.” (Source: Wikipedia)

Happened to come across this video clip showing some clips on how Rain was training for this up coming movie, and to say that I was pretty impressed (by his committment and his beautiful body) was really an understatement.

Being a gym / sports freak myself, I really find that what he is doing is really ...... awesome.

This is it !!!!!

This will be the most anticipate movie by me thus far this year.
